Veterinarian / Owner
Dr. Leigh Johnson
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Saint Albans, WV. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University, and went on to graduate from veterinary school at The Ohio State University. After school, she returned to WV, and practiced both large and small animal medicine for 3 years, before making the switch to small animal exclusive. She purchased Stonecrest Animal Medical Center, and Ceredo Kenova Animal Clinic in January 2016, and feels very fortunate to have become a part of such a fantastic team! Dr. Johnson enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in internal medicine cases, auto-immune disorders, and chemotherapy.

In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her daughter, and their menagerie of animals. She has grown up showing Saddlebred horses, and spends much of her free time at the barn or horse shows.
Veterinarians
Dr. Stephanie Smith
Dr. Smith is from Huntington, WV. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Smith joined our team in November 2017, after being a licensed psychologist for 24 years. While she enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, she is particularly interested in the human-animal bond, client relationships, and educating clients on general healthcare of their pets.

Outside the practice, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her own 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 horses. She also enjoys traveling and hiking.
Dr. Tommi Butler
Dr. Butler is from Ironton, Ohio. She graduated with her bachelors degree from Kentucky Christian and went on to continue her veterinarian education at Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Butler came to work for Stonecrest in April of 2023. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but she has special interest in chronic disease management, ophthalmology, and cardiology.

Outside of work, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time her her family, their 3 cats and 1 dog.
Office Manager
Marsha Napier
Marsha was born and raised in the Ceredo-Kenova area, and joined our team in 1993. Marsha enjoys client interactions and seeing everyone’s pets.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her close-knit family, and traveling. She also loves crafting.
Licensed Veterinarian Technician
Samantha Sangregort
Sam was born and raised in Illinois but now resides in Branchland, WV. She started working at Stonecrest in July of 2023. She has always had a passion for providing care to animals and her dream job would be a zoologist! She has been working in vet med since 2019.

In Sam's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 little boys. She is a homebody and loves thrifting. She has 2 dogs, Rocky and Tripp, and 2 cats, Felix and Rocco.
Veterinary Assistants
Jason Osburn
Jason was born and raised in Huntington, and has been a Stonecrest employee for over 35 years! That means he began working at Stonecrest when he was only 13 years old. Jason enjoys enriching his relationships with long term clients and patients, and assisting in surgery. He also helps maintain our facility.

In his time away from work, Jason is an avid Marshall fan! He enjoys spending time with his wife, his family, and kayaking when the weather is nice.
